Mass blood donations to the killing spree: Styrian show solidarity!

Graz, Österreich - The tragic killing spree at a Graz high school on June 11th has overthrew the entire region in deep sympathy. In response to the dramatic situation and the increased need for blood canned, those responsible for the Red Cross immediately organized numerous special promotions to mobilize people for donating blood. On Tuesday evening at 2 a.m. the last blood donor was adopted in the JUFA guest house, and around 600 blood cannonons were taken away-the highest number in a single day in over 20 years, such as Vol.at reported.

Rotkreuz President Siegfried Stepwieser was particularly grateful for the overwhelming support of the Styrian population. He emphasized how important blood donations are, especially in these challenging times. The head of the blood donation service in Styria, Christian Steinscherer, pointed out that the blood stocks must be filled up quickly, since the need is constant due to accidents, births and operations. In the current campaign, the focus is on the urgently needed blood group 0, which can be used universally, as another source explains: Roteskreuz.at .
