Bad Blumau, Österreich - In an exciting competition for overcoming personal borders, on July 10, 2025, ten athletes from Running Leibnitz am 24-hour ultra run in Bad Blumau. This benefit run was under the motto: "Every kilometer counts and helps", and the net proceeds from the starting funds benefit the Moki (mobile children's nursing). A wonderful initiative that strengthens the feeling of togetherness and solidarity in the community.
The participants not only showed their sporting ambition, but also impressive achievements. Eight club members achieved personal best performances, which reflects the high training discipline and the tireless efforts of the participants. Stefica Kelemen, who ran a whopping 44.88 km, was particularly outstanding, followed by Roswitha Lernbeiß with 47.24 km and Katrin Seidl-Fischer, who managed 48.42 km. newcomers to the ultra-run horizon were Sebastian Isak and Carina Eggenreich, who ran over 116 km together and thus successfully completed their first official 24-hour ultra run. Sebastian was not only able to look forward to first place in his age group, but also about the experiences made that he could gain together with Carina. Anita Stradner also entered the stage and ran 100 km in the 12-hour competition, which she secured an excellent 3rd place in the benefit competition.
"This run was not only a race against time, but also an impressive testimony of team spirit and will," enthused a member of Running Leibnitz. The athletes support each other and managed to motivate each other throughout the run, which was clear for the good atmosphere in the team.

The ultra run has developed enormously in recent years. As the LG Ultralauf , the athletes of the athletes have become more impressive from year. Also in 2022 there were a variety of exciting championships in the 24-hour run in Germany, where many personal records were set up. The German championship in Bottrop in May was an important event with numerous best performances. Internationally, we also see a significant increase in performance, as was demonstrated by the European Championship in Verona, where Aleksandre Sorokin ran almost 320 km and thus set up a new world record.
