An exciting athletics meeting in St. Pölten has set new standards for the SU Leibnitz athletes. In particular, the focus was on Karin Strametz, who set up a new Austrian record in 100 m hurdle run with a time of 12.81 seconds. This is a real sensation, because this discipline is one of the highlights of athletics for women and is highly valued internationally.
As part of the meeting, Beate Schrott, the former record holder and now as a meeting director, was also present. Her role in the organization of the event once again demonstrated the importance of St. Pölten as the venue for first-class athletics competitions.

Not only Strametz caused a sensation. Enzo DiSl secured the victory in the 110 m hurdle run with a time of 13.20 seconds and thus undercut the limit for participating in the World Cup in Tokyo. He has been sorted into the ranks of the Austrian athletics topathletes.
Isabelle Engel also shone and achieved a new personal best of 13.43 seconds over 100 m hurdles. With this time she qualified for the U23 European Championship in Bergen. A reason to be happy for the entire team and further proof of the talent in their own ranks.
Gabriel Bornemann was on the road over 100 m and did a good performance with 10.67 seconds. The limit for the U20 European Championship in Tampere is 10.62 seconds-here it becomes exciting whether he can still achieve this. Viktoria Willhuber was also in top form: she achieved a season best of 11.73 seconds over 100 m and ran in the A final with 11.65 seconds, but with too strong wind. In the 200 m run she made it to the 2nd place with a time of 24.14 seconds.

Philipp Pichler, too, was able to draw attention to himself with a time of 14.63 seconds over 110 m hurdles and, with a view to the U23 European Championship, has good chances to also be represented there because the limit is 14.35 seconds.
With these outstanding performance of the athletes, it is clear that athletics in Austria is alive and successful. The meeting in St. Pölten has not only set new records, but also sparked the anticipation for upcoming international competitions.
