Great success for the PTS Hartberg: two winners in competitions!

Hartberg-Fürstenfeld, Österreich - The Hartberg polytechnic school can proudly refer to two outstanding successes. The wooden group of the facility sensationally secured first place in the category of polytechnic schools and an impressive second place among all participating school types at the Styrian carpenter trophy 2025. The students designed and made a versatile design chill furniture inside, which is both practically and aesthetically convinced. Department of Roland Schwarhofer and the master carpenter Thomas Reisinger from the Wilfinger carpenter from Schölbing were supported by the young people with valuable support.

Another chapter

In addition to the successes in the timber trade, Sofia Gruber, student of the PTS, also shone in another area. She won the State Competition Handel/Office 2025 and prevailed in an intensive, six -hour competition in various commercial disciplines. In doing so, she showed strong sales skills and finally represented Styria in the federal competition, where she took part in a varied supporting program in Vienna. The director of the school, Simone Gangl, and the entire team are obviously proud of the great achievements of the students: inside.

A look at the carpenter trophy

The carpenter trophy, which takes place every two years, not only promotes craftsmanship, but also attaches great importance to creativity and teamwork. The motto this year is "Furniture & Music". Participation is open to students: Inside the third classes of new middle schools and equivalent schools open. The exhibition of the pieces of furniture will take place from April 26 to May 9, 2025 in the DED Innsbruck and offers the young talents a platform to present their works to the public. A special incentive is the online vote for the favorites of the visitors: inside, which will take place from April 28th to May 7th. Equipped with a time frame of four months for implementation, there was enough space to develop ideas and refine manual skills.

Tischlerei is a job with a future. In addition to classic carpentry, young people are open to many further training opportunities. From the master's examination in carpentry and carpentry, which opens up management positions to specific training such as a wood technician or restorer- the possibilities are varied. In addition to extensive topics such as business management and product development, the prospective craftsmen is preparing the training for the challenges of the future market.
