Intensive care training for medical students starts in Graz - register now!
The Kages Summer School of Medicine is once again presenting itself with an exciting and practical program, which is of great importance for prospective doctors, especially today. This series of training takes place for the third time in cooperation with the Medical University of Graz. The students can look forward to two five-day rounds: the first has been running since July 7, while the second starts on September 1st. A total of 60 medical students have registered in order to train themselves in auditors in the modern learning rooms of the Kages.
like meinzirk.at is the goal of this intensive training that is absolutely necessary for the clinical-practical year (KPJ) and the basic training is required. The prospective doctors have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the safe use of potentially dangerous medication. In addition, there are structured handover to specialists and practical skills, such as dealing with Port-A-Cath systems and central venous accesses (ZVK), on the curriculum.
emergency medicine in focus
The strong focus on emergency medical training is particularly interesting. The participants complete both the “Immediate Life Support” (ILS) program and the “European Paediatric Basic Life Support” (EPBLS), both are official programs of the European Council for Resuscitation (ERC). In addition, scenarius training and the processing of frequently occurring medical emergencies are also part of the training offer. Another highlight is the special training day for clinical sonography, in which the prospective doctors can gain practical experience.
The final event represents the "Championship of the Kages Summer School of Medicine", in which realistically simulated scenarios are played through to strengthen what has been learned. Interestingly, the Kages also offers the "Kages Nursing Summer School" in cooperation with the FH Joanneum in this context. This enables around 30 advanced nursing students to have a similar practical training. Together with students and graduates of the FH, the program was developed in such a way that it meets the needs of future nurses.
meaning of practice -oriented training
The Kages board and other responsible persons emphasize the great importance of a practice-oriented training. The literature situation on the training content shows that such intensive training formats are more in demand than ever. The offer proves to be a "key" for professional preparation for everyday clinical practice, which is increasingly shaped by technical complexity and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Overall, the concept aims to ensure high quality in both care and medicine. This strategy is also supported by artemed-akademie.de , which provides modern simulation centers for training. Here not only doctors, but also nursing staff and professional educators are trained in order to optimize patient safety and increase the quality of the training.
In the end it becomes clear that the Kages Summer School of Medicine is an important building block for the next generations of doctors and nurses. Due to the multitude of practical exercises and the exchange with experienced experts, the students are optimally prepared for the challenges in everyday clinical practice.Details | |
