Deutschlandsberg riders clear: championship title when jumping!

On the facility of the Reitclub Weinland in Tillmitsch, it was exciting: The Styrian state championships in the show jumper attracted riding pairs from the Deutschlandsberg district, which wanted to prove themselves in various categories. From June 3 to 5, 2025, the titles of the national champions, Vice Landes and team champions were awarded. The audience kept top-class competitions in breath until the last second, such as In the general class we saw a gripping duel between Christoph Kröll from RC Wies-Augg and Alfred Greimel, who started for G+P Reitsport Schloss Frauenthal. Greimel was able to win the head-to-head race for itself with just one second ahead and can now call itself national champions. Christoph Kröll secured the vice-national championship title, while David Kranz took third place. While Kröll rides "Eldorado de Styria" on the seven -year -old gelding, Greimel put on his proven partner "Cup de Noir", with whom he has already won the title five times.

team success in view

A highlight of the tournament was the team competition, in which the riders of the RFV Preding demonstrated their skills. They cheered the team title with zero errors and convinced with a strong team spirit. The victorious riders include Lisa-Marie Gerencser, Johanna Kainz, Lia Starchl, Mija Mircic, Melanie Stecher, Emma Pfanner and Elisabeth Stoiser. Pfanner and Stecher in particular also showed their strength in the individual ratings: Emma Pfanner won the silver medal at the juniors, while Melanie Stecher won the bronze medal in the moderate class.

There were other pleasant placements for Hannah Ultes and Lara Nekrep from RC Weinland, who won bronze in the pony and juniors classes. Julia Und from Groß St. Florian secured bronze at the Young Riders. These successes are a sign of the excellent work in the Styrian riding clubs and indicate a promising future.

If you want to experience even more equestrian sports, you can look forward to the upcoming events. The national championships of rural riders take place from June 13th to 15th. And the big jumping tournament follows from September 4th to 7th. There is also plenty for the competitors from the region to demonstrate their skills in summer - from July 31 to August 3, a national jumping tournament will be held at RFV Preding.
