Solemn vehicle blessing and mountain fair: Red cross strengthens Lungau!

Tamsweg, Österreich - On July 12, 2025, the Red Cross Lungau celebrated a very special event on the Platschlichm near Ramingstein: The solemn vehicle bless and an atmospheric mountain fair attracted around a hundred guests, including numerous members and supporters: inside. The Red Cross Music Chapel Lungau provided the right atmosphere with musical sounds and accompanied this beautiful celebration.

The focus of the event was the blessing of two new patient transport cars. One of the vehicles was re -purchased while the other replaces an existing vehicle. These vehicles are not only intended for patient transport in the Lungau district, but also contribute to strengthening security in the region. In addition, the fleet was supplemented by a new BMW motorcycle that can be used for quick inserts.

A highlight of the blessing was the first -all overhauled medical pin. This off -road special vehicle is designed for alpine inserts and the disaster aid service and is therefore of great importance in order to be able to help quickly even in areas that are difficult to access. The new emergency vehicles are stationed in Tamsweg, while another in the disaster relief service camp is housed in Mariapfarr.

The mountain fair, which was celebrated by Father Amar Yenabothula, offered not only a solemn setting, but also the opportunity for personal exchange among those present. On this occasion, the Heidi and Mario Pagitsch family were also awarded the "big crystal" of the Red Cross of Salzburg. Their commitment and hospitality have made a significant contribution to the success of this event.
