Lions Club Hallein: New President is planning a large flea market campaign!

In the Gasthof Langwies in Hallein, the ceremonial handover of the presidential dignity of the Lions Club recently took place. After a year in office, Georg Mayer handed over responsibility to the new president, Christopher Patrick Habersatter (42). On this occasion you looked back on a turbulent and active club life, which was characterized by informative lectures, exciting excursions and sociable evenings. My district reports that Habersatter already has plans for the future, including a close cooperation with the cultural association "Gruber and more".

The coming season promises to be exciting: The Lions Club is planning several events, including a large Hallein flea market on November 15 and a golf tournament in the coming year. These events have a common goal: the support of people in need through the pure revenue.

a successful comeback

A great success of the Lions Club was the now organized flea market, which took place again after three years of corona -related break. This market has been a permanent institution for bargain hunters in the region for 55 years and again attracted numerous visitors. All sorts of articles, clothing and shoes to electrical and household appliances to small furniture and toys were offered. On the official website of the Lions Club it is reported that around 90 helpers, including the then president Christian Henökl, were in use to to realize popular market.

The flea market extended over six hours and achieved income of almost 18,000 euros. Henökl emphasized that these funds are used charity for needy families, impaired and needy people as well as sick children in Tennengau. The Lions Club has already donated over 500,000 euros for quick and unbureaucratic help in the past and as part of such events.

The Lions Club has also set up a strong board for the coming club year:
