Spading for Sportspark Aula Valley: BUND invests over 2 million euros!

In Niederaula, a new sports center is being built with the Sportpark Aula Valley. After around nine years of planning, the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony now fell, and a project goes into implementation, which is of great importance for the entire region. The construction, which extends over an area of around 1.2 hectares right next to the comprehensive school, is supported by the federal government with 2,037,000 euros from the "Federal Program Refurbishment Refurbishment of municipal institutions". Overall, the estimated costs of the project amount to 5.1 to 5.2 million euros, as reported osthessen-news.de.

The new sports park will offer a variety of movement options: a 96 x 60 meter artificial turf pitch with a modern LED floodlight facility, a pump track, a 100-meter career with a jump pit and a multifunction court are just a few of the planned components. A new functional building will also be built, which will serve as a contact point for all athletes in the future.

extensive construction work

Numerous materials and enormous work resources are planned for the construction work: over 36,000 wheelbarrows earth are required to design the terrain accordingly. In addition, 1,600 cubic meters of gravel and 1,500 meter power cables are part of the project. The artificial turf field will include an area of 7,000 square meters, which will significantly improve the game and training conditions for youth football and school sports.

Mayor Thomas Rohrbach and the member of the Bundestag Wilhelm Gebhard (CDU) expressed gratefully for the political support that made this important project possible. District Administrator Torsten Warnecke also spoke of a model for inter -municipal cooperation, while sports district chairman Daniel Iliev described the sports park as a lighthouse project for the region.

an important goal for the community

The existing sports field in Niederaula is in a significant condition, which is why the market town has taken the initiative to receive funding for redesign. According to hna.de, the building application will be submitted shortly. The goal is to complete the artificial turf pitch in 2024, while the entirety of the project should be completed by 2025. The investments not only flow into the sports park, but also into the water supply and the renovation of the existing sports field.

With the creation of the sports park, the municipality should also have a more modern sports infrastructure available that takes into account the needs of the population. A good step towards a sporty and active village life! It remains to be seen whether the new range of sports will also be a role model in the region - the conditions for this are promising.
