In the area of childcare in the district of Perg. The district ÖVP has initiated numerous projects that aim to improve the childcare places and conditions for the youngest residents. A sign of commitment in the district are the planned construction projects. A total of 12 projects with a volume of around 11.7 million euros will be realized, including eight crawling rooms and four kindergarten projects. These projects are supported by the educational department of the state of Upper Austria with around 4.7 million euros. There are also eight other projects in the planning and development phase.
Current figures in the country show that 67,903 children in kindergartens, crawling and after -school care are now being looked after in all over Upper Austria. This is a progress that underlines the efforts to improve the offers. As part of the “Kinderland package”, 1,715 new specialists have been won since December 2022, which means an increase of 835 employees compared to the previous year. The visiting rate in the second mandatory kindergarten year is also at a high level at over 96 percent, despite the declining birth rate.
