Linz, Österreich - Gerald Scheiblehner has taken a new place in the Swiss football scene. Today he was officially presented as the new head coach of the Grasshoppers Zurich. The 48-year-old changes from Blau-Weiß Linz, where he has celebrated great success in the past four years. In the 2022/23 season, he led the team to the championship in the second division and thus to the highest Austrian division.

Scheiblehner follows Tomas Oral, whose contract was not extended in the Grasshoppers. Under Oral, the team ended in the penultimate place last season, but was able to secure the whereabouts in the league through the relegation.
