Kirchdorf an der Krems, Österreich - The Kirchdorf Faustball City Championship on July 5, 2025 was a complete success! In bright sunshine and summer temperatures, over 20 teams ventured the competition on the fistball court in the Kirchdorfer Au. The focus of the event was above all the fun and the community, which also felt the numerous spectators and the teammates. Whether young or old, everyone found their place in this sporty highlight, which quickly developed from a pure competition to a family festival.

As the winner, the team "without my lawyer we do not play" emerged from the competition, closely followed by "Hildegard" in second place and the team "Balli", which took third place. Mayor Markus Ringhofer was also on site and played in the “Friends” team, achieving the 17th place. With his visible enthusiasm for the event, Ringhofer thanked the organizers: "An excellent event for our community," said the mayor.

The organization was in the best hands: the ÖTB Kirchdorf, led by chairman Jürgen Mitterhauser, ensured a smooth process. Mitterhauser particularly praised the committed team of the fistball section. While the athletes missed their strength, the little guests could have fun in the sandpit, on the swing or football. A tasty range of grill specialties, regional delicacies and refreshing drinks held up the mood for the big ones.
