Grieskirchner dancer shine at World Dance Masters with 30 medals!
Around 10,000 dancers from 20 nations recently gathered in Poreč, Croatia to take part in the prestigious World Dance Masters. Particularly gratifying for the local dance scene: The dance plant of the Welser dance school Hippmann brought numerous medals to Austria. As tips with impressive 62 articles in various categories and could not only be in competition, but also present the public.
The event, which went over eight days and included 2,500 dance shows, offered the participants the opportunity to show their skills in various disciplines such as hip-hop, musical or ballet. The choreographers Alice Zandomenghi, Coco Kreissl, Svetlana Streicher, Dave Dam and Jörg Hippmann were instrumental in order to prepare the dancers for the event.

The services of the dancers spoke volumes: In a total of four age groups and four group sizes, the dance plant secured 30 medals- including 11 gold, 6 silver and 13 bronze medals. The performance of Lea Sophia Schrödl and Amelie Peham from Hofkirchen as well as Florentina from Kallham and the siblings Emma and Charlotte Hoslin from Meggenhofen, all of whom came to the Stockerl are particularly noteworthy.

For young dance enthusiasts there are also other exciting events in the near future. The upcoming World Dance Contest will take place from June 17th to 22nd, 2025 in the Forum Theater in Fréjus, southern France. Under the new name "World Dance Contest - Concurso Mundial de Danza", children and young dance students are invited to participate and dance with each other worldwide. There are various styles such as ballet, jazz and hip hop here. Danza Mundial emphasizes that the competition is an excellent opportunity for dance schools and clubs to show their talent. The fun of dancing together is clearly the focus.
The successes celebrated by the dancers of the dance plant in Poreč are a wonderful example of how local talents can exist internationally. It is to be hoped that this momentum will also shape the upcoming competitions!
