U21 Faustball European Championship in Freistadt: On title hunt with home advantage!
Freistadt, Österreich - In the picturesque Freistadt, the fistball scene will soon be brought back to life, because from July 18th to 19th the U21 European Championship will be held here. The best young talents from all over Europe compete against each other, and it is a very special event for Austria. While the U21 men go into competition as defending champions, the U21 of women celebrates its premiere at this important championship. In fact, the Austrian U21 men were able to win the last two European Championship titles, and they made a lot to stand at the top of the podium again at the home tournament.
In the U21 men's squad, there are 10 players, including six team members from last year. Among them are Michael Klaffenböck, Manuel Beck and Daniel Bodingbauer. There are also four talented U18 bronze medalists: Jonas Lugerbauer, Bastian Hackl, Jonas Aigner and Felix Rockenchaub, who is also a player of Union Compact Freistadt. His goal? To win another EM gold in a row!
strong U21 women from Freistadt
The U21 women, on the other hand, want to prove themselves in their domestic competition. The squad comprises 10 players, including Anna Wagner, who also comes from Freistadt. The goal is clear: winning the title at this home European Championship. The intensely prepared team has completed a tight training since May and also undertook team building activities. The players are not only supported by their passion, but also by a suitable supporting program.
The event is not only enriched by the exciting games, but also by a women's international game in which Austria meets Brazil. Support also comes from Showacts, including the Breakdance State Champion Mateo Prinz, who will create an additional good atmosphere.
a football festival that attracts everyone
With 19 participating teams from six nations, the championship promises to become a real football festival. A very special aspect is that Belgium participates for the first time in this issue of the U21 European Championship. The teams will play in the format "everyone against everyone", which ensures a lot of tension and should be enthusiastic about the viewers.
The anticipation for the event is already noticeable. May the best team win - and maybe these are the hosts from Austria. So it remains exciting who can take the medal home with you. Whether the U21 men or the U21 women will be more successful will be shown too soon. One thing is clear: Freistadt is ready to experience a great fistball weekend!
