Enthusiastic district music festival: 8,000 visitors celebrate in St. Georgen!

From June 13th to 15th, 2025, the highly expected district music festival took place in St. Georgen im Attergau. Under the motto "Mitanånd im Musigwånd", around 8,000 visitors flocked from the district and beyond on the festival site. The atmosphere was characterized by excellent music, warm community and a good mood. The music band St. Georgen im Attergau was able to record the point victory for its remarkable performance with 93.7 points in the march rating (level D).

The festival offered a variety of musical highlights. The youth and creative competition, which started on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. The morning pint in the festival hall, which was opened by the TMK Oberwang at 11:00 a.m. At 1:30 p.m. the ceremony took place with an overall game of the youth, followed by the marching ranking, the highlight of which was celebrated at 4:00 p.m.

On the evening of the first day, visitors experienced a varied program in the festival hall. At 5:00 p.m. the Eberschwang farmers chapel entertained the guests. The big ceremony at 8:00 p.m. offered an overall game before the evening entertainment at 9:00 p.m. with the band Ceska and the documents handed over by the district management Vöcklabruck initiated the crowning glory of the first day.

But the district music festival was just the beginning. Music lovers can also look forward to exciting events in the coming weeks: On July 17th, the cellar beer in Hölzl will be on the program, followed by a big concert on July 19 in Fuzo and a morning pint at the district country youth festival in Gampern on July 20. The festival of the Kirchham Music Association decides on August 3, and so the anticipation for the next event remains high.

A look into the future

In the context of the wind music scene, another great event is announced: the 43rd Austrian brass music festival, which will take place on August 30, 2025 in Vienna. With the participation of over 500 brass musicians from Austria, South Tyrol and Liechtenstein, the event on Rathausplatz promises an unforgettable experience. From a brass music path in the city center to an overall concert in the afternoon and a joint graduation ceremony - brass music is very important here. By the way, admission is free, which offers the opportunity to experience the variety of brass music up close.

The district music festival in St. Georgen im Attergau has made it clear that the passion for music in the region is alive and will not fall silent so quickly.
