Bad Ischler fire brigade shines at the performance competition in Mauerkirchen!

With full commitment and a good portion of team spirit, the two competition groups of the main fire station Bad Ischl competed last weekend at the state fire service competition in Mauerkirchen. As Tips , the Bad Ischler firefighters were able to achieve both the bronze and the silver achievement badge.

The preparations were already running weeks in advance. On July 4, 2025, the groups traveled to Mauerkirchen and faced a demanding challenge: the establishment of a fire attack under time pressure, followed by a relay race over 400 meters. Eight participants in these groups had to do their best to meet the strict evaluation criteria of the viewer team. This detailed practice is not only exciting, but also part of a long tradition that distinguishes the fire service competitions. The first of these competitions took place in Gattendorf in 1925, and since then a lot has happened, such as Wikipedia .

A particularly proud moment for the Bad Ischler fire brigade was the award of a total of eight members. The bronze achievement badge received:

  • Ofm Sebastian Linortner
  • FM Laurin Neureiter
  • FM Maximilian Roither
  • fm Stefan Stibl
  • Hfm Julian Zand
  • bi Hannes Stibl
  • Ofm Clemens Lindenthaler

The silver badge went to HBM D.F. Fabian Huber, who thus demonstrated his excellent performance.

A look at the story

The fire brigade is more than just a job; It is a calling that is also reflected in the numerous competitions that promote sporting upgrading and practice fire handles. The competitions are evaluated according to different criteria - be it according to time or accuracy. The competition for the fire brigade performance badge in bronze and silver is made up of two parts: the extinguishing attack and the relay race. This tradition addresses both young and older members and motivates to participate, as can be seen from the information from Feuerbehren.at

With a practice evening on July 16, 2025, the firefighters once again prepared intensively for the upcoming competition. Such common activities not only strengthen the ability, but also the cohesion within the group, which is essential for success.

At every competition, not only the best performance is rewarded, the winners are also awarded cups or performance badges. These competitions not only show progress in training and further education, they also strongly strengthen the sense of community and bring the comrades together.

It remains to be hoped that the Bad Ischler fire brigade will continue to come up with such remarkable services in the future, and we are sure that the next challenges are already waiting. After all, the true strength of the fire brigade lies in constant learning and the tireless joy of commitment!
