Brass music highlights in the Pentecost concert: Euphoria in Groß-Siegharts!

On Sunday, June 8th, the walls of the city hall in Groß-Siegharts were made. The music group "Die W4's" really heated up with its traditional Pentecost concert on the motto "upswing in brass music". The seven talented musicians performed with fog and light effects opulently, including Gregor and Richard Friedrich as well as Markus Jordan on the trumpets and wing horns, Felix and Andreas Reegen am Tenorhorn, Matthias Deimel on the Tuba and Tobias Jordan on the piss. The audience was able to look forward to a varied repertoire that included many different styles of music - from Polka to hit to film music.

The concert started with "Brass on the Dancefloor" by "Viera Blech" and was moderated by Gregor Friedrich and Felix Reegen. With a special piece, "brass music in the upswing", which was composed by Gregor himself, the W4's immediately caused goose bumps. Other highlights were the "beautiful Serenade" and the bravour solo piece "Bugler’s Holiday" by Leroy Anderson. The audience was actively involved, especially with the rousing sounds of "Hands Up" and "YMCA". Big singing was announced and the mood was left out.

an all-round program for all

After the break, the musicians really started again. They surprised the audience with the "giant march" and a warm dedication to Edelgard Ilse Fuchs for "The Rose". A Medley from Bon Jovi and "My Dream" were also very well received. The crowning glory was the encores that ended with "one last round" and a special version of "Let It Be". In order to make a perfect evening, the ensemble invited the audience to linger in the food and drink in Heurigen-Ambiente.

The announcement of the event was particularly remarkable as a "storm of brass music", which reflects the liveliness and passion with which the W4's present their music. This dynamic performance is accompanied by the upswing, which the brass music scene in the region experiences and which also at other events such as the upcoming W4Brass weekend can be felt in the Waldviertel.

Overall, the Pentecost concert was not only a musical highlight, but also a social meeting point that brought together the hearts of the people in the Waldviertel. A complete success that is generally very popular with the "W4's" and brass music. Traditioned, modern, and above all unforgettable - this is how you could summarize the evening.
