Mistelbach's shooters clear: several championship titles at the national championship!

Leobersdorf, Österreich - The national championship in hunting shooting was recently held at the shooting range in Leobersdorf, Baden district. Almost 300 shooters from all over Lower Austria started this top -class competition to demonstrate their skills. The event, which took place on June 14th and 15th, was organized together by the Lower Austria Hunting Association and the team of the shooting range. Under the direction of Martin Praschl-Bichler, the participants experienced an exciting competition that not only celebrated sporty ambition, but also community spirit. The Breitenfurt Jagdhornbläser provided the musical framework that perfectly rounded off the ambience.

The disciplines were diverse and offered a challenge for both the rifle and the shotguns. In the book discipline, the participants had to shoot two stalling wildlife slices 100 meters away. The flint discipline had to target 25 movable throwing discs, also known as clay pigeons. A total of a maximum of 200 points could be achieved, awarded in individual and team ratings. In addition to the general competition, there were also special ratings for women, seniors and young people.

The shooting club Mistelbach competed with various teams and was able to win several podium places and national championship titles. In the team ranking of the combination, Mistelbach 1 took first place with 1119 points, followed by Melk 2 and Bruck/Leitha 1. Mistelbach 1 also shone in the shot/shotgun rating and secured victory with 572 points. The women of the shooting club also performed excellently: in the women's combination they reached 506 points and asserted themselves in front of Bruck/Leitha. The success of the association is proof of the outstanding achievements of the shooters who pursue their passion for hunting shooting.

In the general combination rating, Martin Schneider (Mistelbach) took the lead with 199 points, while Selina Ehn (Korneuburg) convinced in the women's combination rating. The placements in the individual values ​​reflect the high sportiness and the commitment of the frighteningly many participants. 30 women, 47 young people and 59 seniors were on site to show their skills.
