Hollabrunn plans until 2040: So our community will be worth living!
Hollabrunn, Österreich - The last meeting of the Hollabrunn municipal council took place on Tuesday evening, in which important points on the future development of the community were discussed. At this session, those present were allowed to count on the ÖVP-SPÖ coalition, which without mayor Alfred Babinsky (ÖVP) held a press conference. The ÖVP city councils Marlis Schmidt and Lukas Niedermayer, Vice Mayor Alex Eckhardt and environmental councilor Sandra Damböck-Lehr presented the new development concept of the community. This should set goals and guiding principles by 2040 in order to make Hollabrunn the most livable community in Lower Austria. The concept aims to offer the citizens and politics planning security. Specific goals and measures were defined that are intended to lead the further development of Hollabrunn. It is important that potential areas for building land serve as a scope for action, but not everything should be rededicated. In the future, only building land will be dedicated to the community's seat or has a corresponding spatial planning contract. It is also interesting that the construction locks are extended, with one exception in Brunnthalgasse.

An important topic of the municipal council meeting was the presentation of new guidelines on environmental friendliness. In the future, 80 percent of the non -buildable area will have to remain unsealed. The rules for residential complexes are also new: with more than four residential units, it is planned to plant a tree for each fifth apartment. Plants with more than 20 residential units are obliged to build community gardens.
