Pictures of people in the bank: photo art revolves around faces and stories

In the Amstetten bank park, the exhibition "Human Pictures" of the Lower Austria professional photographer is currently presented. This open-air photo art can be seen from now until June 25, 2025 and invites visitors to dive inside the fascinating stories behind the portraits. The pictures, each 140 x 140 cm tall, are concealed on both sides on 20 stone benches and bring the faces of the protagonists up close to the viewers. The initiative, which serves above all, to make photo art tangible without afraid of threshold, complements the cultural offer of the city and creates a meeting place where people can look at people. Photographer Marco Zehetgruber and various dignitaries such as city councilor Elisabeth Asanger and Mayor Christian Haberhauer participated in the opening to support the vision behind this exhibition. The bank park itself, a quiet place in the middle of the city, not only offers space for artistic impressions, but is also a popular retreat for the Amstettner population. With the opening of the new city pool last year, another attraction was created, which perfectly complements the leisure offer in this area. The city pool was officially opened on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Visitors were able to look forward to a free entry weekend, but access was limited by counting cards. The new facility offers everything the swimmer's heart desires: a six -way swimming pool, an adventure pool with flow channel and massage jets as well as a completely redesigned children's area. art and culture as a development driver

In times when cities are more dependent on creative solutions, the current developments in Amstetten show how art and culture can contribute to improving the quality of life. A current report by Culturelab emphasizes that art and culture are decisive for the future design of cities. Create a connection between beautiful nature and an active social life. Such initiatives promote social cohesion and contribute to economic development.

The UNESCO emphasizes that human -centered cities are often also cultural -centered rooms. In Amstetten we see this very nicely in the opening speech of the mayor, which underlined the importance of cultural initiatives to create high -quality habitats. Through an integrated political design that promotes culture, we can better support social integration of various population groups and thus promote sustainable urban development.

In this sense, it is gratifying to see how Amstetten not only offers its citizens with the bank park and the exhibition "human pictures": can also serve an artistic platform inside, but also serve as an example for other cities.
