Fire brigade championship in meetings: a competition full of passion!
Treffen am Ossiacher See, Österreich - On June 28th and 29th June 2025, the impressive 65th state championship of the Carinthian fire brigades and the 20th state youth performance competition took place in Treffen am Ossiacher See. Over 1,100 fire brigade members, including around 500 young talents between the ages of 10 and 15, took part in the event and showed their skills in various competitions. The event was organized by the fire brigade, FF Sattendorf, FF Winklern-Insöde and the district fire brigade command Villach-Land in the newly built sports and multi-purpose facility.
The mood was electrifying. All participants were proud and full of emotions, despite the occasional mistakes that occurred in the competition. As meinzirk.at reported up to three times a week to be fit for the championship. Some groups even take part in training units in winter to continuously improve their services. In this context, camaraderie is emphasized as an essential element. Trust and cohesion shape the action during both competitions and in the missions.

a strong network
The fire brigade is not only responsible for use in fires and other emergencies, it also plays an important role in the community. The fire brigade association takes care of organizational tasks, recruiting young talent and camaraderie.
