Illmitz: Students discover the community - fire brigade celebrated!

The team of the municipal office recently welcomed the 3rd grade of the Illmitz elementary school. The students showed a lot of interest in the local government and asked many questions, such as "How does a municipality work?" And "What does the mayor do?" An entertaining "mayor quiz" helped the children to learn more about the tasks of the community, while a tour of the municipal office gave an insight into the different departments. The market town would like to thank the teachers for the visit and is looking forward to the next generation of community councilors, who are both curious and active in their environment.
In addition, the district fire brigade performance competition took place at the sports field in Illmitz at the end of May. With this important event, which was held on May 25, 2025, numerous groups from the Neusiedl district competed against each other to demonstrate their skills and abilities. The Illmitz volunteer fire brigade was represented with a total of four competition groups, including two youth groups and two active groups.
