Fire brigade high voltage in Mattersburg: 70th state fire brigade performance competition!
Mattersburg, Österreich - In the Pappel Stadium in Mattersburg, the 70 recently. Burgenland State Fire Brigade performance competition . On two days, from June 27th to 29th, 2025, around 1,800 fire brigade members from Burgenland and guest groups from Lower Austria, Tyrol, Slovakia and Croatia showed their skills. The event attracted numerous spectators with 256 groups in eleven competitions and offered an exciting supporting program.
With a crispy fire -fighting attack and a brisk relay race, the groups competed against each other. In the fire -fighting attack, the participants had to set up suction creation and two extinguishing lines in the shortest possible time. Precise work and teamwork were required here, because any uncertainty led to points deductions. The relay race took place on a route blocked for traffic on Michael-Koch-Straße, where the speed and skill were decisive when transporting a jet tube.
The winners
In the category bronze A , the group Zillingtal 1 was able to secure the victory with a great performance, followed by Grafenschachen 1 and Mischendorf 1. In the category silver a triumph 1, while Steinbrunn 1 and Charles 1 were two and three. A special highlight was the parallel competition "Floriani-Cup 2025" , which was also won by Zillingtal, followed by Jabing, Kulm and Markt St. Martin.

The Neufeld women's group, who won the women's competition in bronze, also received special recognition. The event was visited by guests of honor such as the state fire brigade commander Franz Kropf and the state fire brigade officer Heinrich Dorner, who praised the courage and commitment of the participants.

Music groups such as "Blechsound", "Soundsturm" and the Walbersdorf "Edelhof musicians" create a good atmosphere. The supporting program rounded off the event and made the competition a social highlight for the region.
The organization of the competition went smoothly. With over 100 experienced viewers and a carefully coordinated schedule, this was taken care of. The competition for the fire service badge in bronze and silver not only remains a challenge for the firefighters, but also an important festival for the entire community.
