XS Carnight in Carinthia: Tuning festival attracts tens of thousands of fans!

Wörthersee, Österreich - This week the tuning and motorsport community met in Carinthia and that with full success. Over 20,000 tuning fans from all over Austria and beyond flocked to the events that took place in the region in the past few days. The "XS Carnight" was the big highlight and returned after a three -year break. Organizer Andreas Füllborn could look proud of the high number of visitors, because since 2022 there has been no official GTI meeting in the country. The success of the event made it clear that the interest in tuning and automotive culture was unbroken.

In the past, there were difficulties with the police at similar events. The GTI-WörterseeTour in 2022 in particular was accompanied by an increased police presence that led to 404 compulsory blemishes on 5,000 vehicles. Füllborn has therefore deliberately distanced itself from the old GTI meeting, which has organized itself. The tuning community is all the more pleased about the successful return of the "XS Carnight".

The event program was extensive and varied. From the "Warm Uvent" on May 28, which started with free admission and an impressive Droneberger show technology in Klagenfurt, to the "Final Event" on the Simonhöhe on May 31, which was sold out. The “Party Boot” on Lake Wörthersee was also very popular and was quickly sold out, while the central event at the Klagenfurt trade fair on Friday, May 30th, also attracted numerous visitors.

The events were not only well attended, but there were hardly any disputes between the car fans and the police. Particularly noteworthy is the positive communication between the two sides, which has contributed to the relaxed atmosphere. Only slight traffic disruptions and isolated license plates did not cloud the mood.

The tourismists in Carinthia are optimistic that many former GTI guests can be recovered. The "XS Carnight" filled thousands of beds in the region and has given the local economy a decent thrust. Helmuth Micheler and Adi Kulterer from the Klagenfurt tourism association emphasized the importance of such events for the region.

Andreas Füllborn is already planning a repetition of the event. In view of the positive feedback and the successful first edition, this seems to be a logical step from the perspective of the organizers. It remains to be seen whether the tuning community will appear numerous again next year and make the event a highlight in Carinthia again.
