5,000 euros for animal projects: Apply and win now!

Wieden, Österreich - in Vienna many are waiting for the summer, but until it is really evident, there are other important topics that hope for more attention. Fressnapf is currently leading an initiative called "Animal Committed", which aims to support projects and clubs that work for animals. Interested parties can submit their initiatives by June 6th, and there is a chance of a price of 5,000 euros for the best submissions. "Animal committed" was launched in 2014 and has been established as a valuable platform for animal rights activists since then. MeinDzirk reports that the numerous collected donations also benefit from various aid projects.

But where exactly are these funds flowing? A remarkable example is the Kinderburg Rappottenstein in the Waldviertel, which takes care of heavily and chronically ill children and traumatized families. Together with the Austrian Red Cross, they offer tailor -made care, psychological support and creative workshops. An essential aspect is the handling of animals, which is often perceived as an enrichment for young patients.

Diverse support for animals and humans

Another project supported by Fressnapf is the nature conservation association Austria, which was founded in 1913 and is committed to protecting animals and habitats. The association's activities include local species protection projects and national campaigns that help to secure over 2,000 endangered meadows and forests in Austria. Fressnapf impressively shows how important the protection of our nature is for the quality of life of everyone.

Not only are animals - people also benefit from animal -assisted forms of therapy that are increasingly becoming the focus. According to the website of the Ministry of Health, animals are integrated into treatments and pedagogical measures to promote psychosocial health. An animal -assisted therapy, e.g. with dogs or horses, can have significant positive effects on the quality of life of those affected. The concept ranges from therapeutic missions to educational offers and even coaching.

The variety of animal -assisted interventions shows how narrow humans and animals can work together to relieve psychological stress. Whether for children with cancer or to support traumatized families - the positive effects of animals are increasingly recognized by experts. Nevertheless, it is important to keep an eye on the challenges associated with animal -assisted measures, such as the health care of the animals and the necessary hygiene measures in order to create an optimal environment. Further information on this can be found on the website of the health portals

In a time when many are looking for support, projects such as "animal -committed" show and the various initiatives show how important it is to take responsibility for both animals and people. While we are waiting for the summer weather, we can actively help to improve the lives of many. Whether through large initiatives or small gestures - everyone can make a difference.
