New Nightjet for nightly trips between Vienna and Amsterdam started!

From now on, travelers between Vienna and Amsterdam can compete with the new Nightjets of the ÖBB comfortable overnight travel. This connection was ceremoniously opened in Vienna on May 27th by high -ranking representatives from politics and business. The aim of the initiative is a climate -friendly expansion of European rail traffic. The daily connection offers a welcome alternative to the plane and contributes to sustainability, according to the ÖBB in a press release.

The new generation Nightjet relies on more comfort and privacy. The trains consist of seven cars, including two seats, three couchnaps and two sleeping cars. With a maximum total capacity of 254 seats, the trains are equally suitable for families, groups and solo travelers. The offer includes various ticket options, including sauce tickets from € 34.90 per person and direction. Lying car tickets are also available from € 54.90, while sleeping car components can be booked from € 99.90. All tickets can be conveniently purchased online, via the ÖBB app, on ticket counters and in travel agencies.

Innovative technical features are offered in the new night jets to increase travel comfort. These include free WiFi, a modern passenger information system as well as sockets and USB charging connections in the compartments. In addition, travelers have multifunctional cars available that offer space for six bicycles and have more space for luggage. The different comfort categories in the Nightjet are tailored to the needs of various travelers. Passengers can choose between sleeping car compartments with their own sanitary area and comfortable sitting or mini cabins for solo travelers.
