Casage in Vienna: False policewoman faithed 440,000 euros!

In a current and extensive fraud series that Austria shakes, a 32-year-old Turkish citizen who lives in Vienna was arrested. The investigators of the economic criminal office have uncovered the woman because of her supposed participation in a fraud that caused older people in the region to damage almost 440,000 euros. From January to August 2023, the Osumnijčena, which applied the so -called "Policijski trik", contacted numerous seniors in Vienna and Lower Austria and used an alleged wave of burglaries in the neighborhood to gain trust and steal money. As Fenix-Magazin reports, it was arrested on February 24th in Vienna under the suspicion of fraud and membership in a criminal organization that is based in a call center in Istanbul.

The police have identified ten documented fraud cases so far, with three cases only classified as attempted fraud. In Vienna there were seven incidents, two in Lower Austria in the Neunkirchen district and an attempt in the Korneuburg district. During the arrest, notes with the name of potential victims were ensured. The suspect is currently in the Vienna-Josefstadt judgment, while the police warn the population of further fraud attempts.
