The forecast for the coming days does not promise no cooling trend: Tomorrow we will expect maximum values ​​around 30 degrees again, followed by pleasant warm temperatures of 28 degrees on Wednesday and again 30 degrees on Thursday. So if you are not yet in the summer mood, you should slowly adjust to it!

The trend of heated summers continues. After the recorded summer 2024, which has been the hottest since the beginning of the weather records, extreme temperatures can be expected again this year. As today reported, Austria experienced several heat waves last year. In Vienna, for example, record -breaking 52 heat days were counted. The numbers of Eisenstadt and St. Pölten are also not to be neglected, with 48 and 42 heat days of respectivaments.

The rising average temperatures in Central Europe, including caused by climate change, give reason to worry. The nightly temperatures also play a role: heat nights can affect the quality of sleep and thus the performance.

The Ages notes that mortality in Austria is subject to higher temperature fluctuations and more people can suffer during heat days. Therefore, it is advisable to drink enough - at least two to three liters of water a day. Drinking fountains and shady places are now exactly what everyone needs!

An additional tip: Avoid direct sunlight and physical exertion between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and enjoy the hot days in the shady areas of the parks. Summer is there and we should enjoy it to the fullest - but with careful!
