Austria's biggest game festival: fun and excitement in ACV!

The anticipation increases, because on July 5th and 6th, 2025 the game festival Vienna (Acv) open its doors. On over 20,000 square meters, 200 exhibitors present themselves with innovations and classic games that will inspire both young and old. Up to 25,000 game enthusiasts are expected who can look forward to a huge range of games.

The game festival is now going back to a long tradition, because it has been taking place since 1984 and has blossomed into Austria's largest game library. If you want to experience the variety of board, card and cube games, you have the opportunity to borrow them free of charge. The organizers offer numerous hands-on stations where visitors not only watch, but can immerse themselves in the game world. Board game explanators are ready to explain the rules in an understandable way and independent game designers also have the chance to present their prototypes.

The Vienna game festival not only attracts with gaming tables, but also with a diverse supporting program. In a large workshop area, participants can demonstrate their skills, while numerous games and accessories are available in the Merch area. In addition, tournaments in the Trading Card Games area like Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana or Yu-Gi-OH are waiting! And in the tabletop area, including Warhammer 40k, on the visitors.

parallel to the game festival takes place a1 Austria eSports Festival in the ACV, which takes place on level 2 of the event location. There are digital game stations and a varied stage program that will inspire eSports fans. Tickets for the game festival also offer access to both events without additional costs, which promises a unique experience to visitors.
