New joint project: Gartels started in the Neustift cemetery!

Neustifter Friedhof, 1180 Wien, Österreich - A very special project takes on Neustift in the 18th district forms. In cooperation with the cemeteries Vienna, the arable heroes have initiated a new garden project. The aim of this initiative is not only the garden in community, but also to promote well -being among the citizens: inside. From March 2025 there are ten beds available in which fruit and vegetables can be planted.

The idea is not new: Since spring 2023, the

garden for everyone

The new beds in the Neustift cemetery are each 24 square meters and can be booked for people with a grave site in the cemeteries in Vienna. This makes participation in this all-round carefree package, which costs 149 euros per year, in a small condition. Here the gardeners receive: bio-complaints cultures, tools and comprehensive support in the form of care and harvest tips by the field heroes.

Boss Jan Pech emphasized how straightforward gardening is: "No basic knowledge is required in horticulture." The entire vegetables that are grown is organic quality, and the seeds used are all organic certified. In addition, various garden tools and even irrigation water are available on site.

Experience nature together

As for the feedback from the previous gardeners: inside, they seem to be consistently satisfied: three quarters have already extended their contract for the coming year. The garden fun is also supported by the expert care of the arable heroes. These are the user: Interior to care and harvesting aside, so that newcomers can also have a good hand in vegetable cultivation.

For all interested parties, registration via the digital portal "Digital Grave" is possible, which has been a free addition to each grave plant since 2020. Here users can not only book their vegetable -like ones inside, but also set up digital memory rooms and carry out term extensions. All of this works uncomplicated via www.digitalesgrab.at .

The new founder cemetery shows with this project how cemeteries can become living places that offer people space for community and nature. Because, according to the initiators' tenor: Gardening is good and increases well -being. If you want to benefit from this green oasis in the city, you should register quickly, because the places are limited and are awarded according to the principle of "First-Come-First-Serve".
