Hinterstoder, Österreich - Jannis Peter, a 24-year-old cyclist from Germany, fought for a place in the history books of the 16th International Upper Austria tour (UCI 2.2). On June 1, 2025, he won the final stage, which led to an impressive 132 kilometers from St. Florian to Hutterer Höss in Hinterstoder. In the last five kilometers, Peter took all his courage, decided by his persecutors and secured the stage victory just from Mexican David Edgar Gadena, who was the overall winner of the tour. With this triumph, Peter climbed in second place in the overall ranking, just 24 seconds behind Gadena,
like VOL.AT. The Italian Mattia Gaffuri rounded off the podium in third place with a gap of eleven seconds.

The Vorarlberg team, to which Peter belongs, also achieved great results: Colin Stüssi placed sixth in the overall classification, which left him behind Gadena for 1:16 minutes. Emanuel Zangerle and Lukas Meiler took place 21 and 37, while the team came to second place in the overall ranking. A truly successful day for the team!

In addition, Kilian Feurstein, a talented 21-year-old, promises and was 17th in the fourth stage of the "Course de la Paix" in the Czech Republic, which earned him the title of the best Austrian in the overall ranking. The 20-year-old Laurin Nenning also shone by becoming a second in the national elite series race in Marktdorf, Germany.
