From the flight of war to the new beginning: Mohamaime Al-Doori told!

An exciting event awaits the citizens of Feldkirch on June 26, 2025. Mohamai Al-Doori, a committed youth worker, will give his lecture from Iraq to Austria at 6:30 p.m. in the youth center Graf Hugo entitled " His personal escape history offers insights into the challenges that people have to experience under war conditions. "I would like to encourage the listeners to deal with the realities of refugee people," explains Al-Doori in a conversation with the regional newspaper Meinverbär.

his journey began when he had to leave his homeland as a young adult due to the war in Iraq. The flight lasted 6.5 years and led him over dangerous paths, through war zones and over the Mediterranean. "I drove over the water with a rubber boat and have become eyewitnesses of terrible experiences with human hunters and corrupt customs officials," he reports.

The challenges of such an escape are not only physical nature, but also psychologically extremely stressful. In his lecture, Al-Doori addresses the traumatic experiences and the bureaucracy that you encounter in a new country. During the lecture, Al-Doori plans to deal with difficulties in dealing with authorities-aspects that are often hidden but are crucial for understanding the escape experiences. "Dealing with the authorities was a big challenge and many of my fellow travelers had had negative experiences," he adds.
