Austria's U21 wins 3-1 in the EM general rehearsal against Hungary!

What an exciting day for Austria's U21 soccer team! Yesterday in Wr. Neustadt passed their dress rehearsal for the European Championship qualification in September with flying colors. In the duel against Hungary, they prevailed 3: 1, which not only gives the mood, but also self -confidence.

In an exciting game, the first goal was already scored by Balasz Bacti for Hungary in the 23rd minute. But Austria was unimpressed and equalized only three minutes later: Zetery Jano benefited from a mistake in the Hungarian defense and ensured the 1-1 break. In the second round, the Austrians really turned up. Luca Reischl put the team in the lead in the 60th minute after it was played out by Jano. Dijon Kameri put the icing on the cake in the 73rd minute when he hit the net after a preparatory work by Furkan Dursun and manufactured the final score of 3: 1. Vol.at observed that this was already the third victory in the third game under coach Peter Perchtold.

team and list

The list of coach Perchtold was also impressive. The players included Goalie Marco Bignetti and the defenders Pazourek, Schopp, Heindl and Puczka. In midfield, Mayer, Sattlberger and Wels provided the creative urge, while on the offensive Jano, Reischl and Beganovic - which were later replaced by Kameri, Adewumi and Dursun - scored for the necessary goals. As far as the bank is concerned, goalie Christian Zawieschitzky came from the U18 team as a backup, while Samson Baidoo returned from the national team. Completely new faces, such as Jannik Schuster, Nikolaus Wurmbrand and Leon Grgic, strengthen the U21 team after playing in the U19 course. These decisions reflect a strong coaching team that rewardes the good performance of the players in the past few months and shows that a great pool can be drawn to talents to form a unit in the team. Kurier reports of the strong impressions that the players left in March.
