Vandans, Österreich - Last night, June 2, 2025, a dramatic incident occurred in Vandans, Vorarlberg. A lightning strike hit a transformer station near the Platzisalpe around 10:30 p.m. and led to a devastating fire. When the fire brigade arrived, the building was already in full fire and the flames threatened to attack adjacent buildings. A total of 203 emergency services from the fire departments of Vandans, Latschau, Tschagguns, Schruns and St. Gallenkirch were deployed.
