Fressnapf is looking for committed animal rights activists: Waiting 5,000 euros in prize money!

Schwaz, Österreich - Club life in Schwaz blooms! In bright weather, SC Eglo Schwaz celebrated a successful club festival that brought together the community and strengthened the connection to the region. As MeinDzeitkirk , guests of all ages were invited to take part in a colorful supporting program. From sports events to music to culinary delights, something was offered for every visitor. Such events not only show the flair of the region, but also promote cooperation in the community.

In the same week, however, there is still an important initiative that requires attention - "animal -committed", an action by Fressnapf, is looking for projects that are committed to animals by June 6th. Here, committed clubs and initiatives can win up to 5,000 euros. The initiative, which has existed since 2014, was founded to support animal rights activists and their important projects and to provide information. As Fressnapf , the gathered donations flow to three outstanding organizations that take intensive care of animals in distress.

supported initiatives

The funded projects include the children's castle Rappottenstein in the Waldviertel, which enables families with seriously or chronically ill children. Here those affected can gain new joie de vivre in creative workshops and in dealing with animals. The nature conservation association Austria is also supported, which has been committed to preserving flora and fauna since 1913. This organization is involved in various species protection projects and offers valuable information to raise awareness of environmental and animal protection.

  • Kinderburg Rappottenstein: Support for families with seriously ill or traumatized children.
  • nature conservation association Austria: protection of animals and habitats, local projects and national campaigns.
  • e.Motion Equotherapy: care of children with cancer by therapy horses to increase their quality of life.

Another supported project is E.Motion Equotherapy, which offers a valuable contact point especially for children with cancer and their families. In a farm near Pyhra, trained therapy horses are available that help the children increase their quality of life. Around 400 children are looked after every year and receive additional support from other animals such as dogs and cats.

animal protection in Austria

in the background of these initiatives, Pro-Anlay, the Association of Austrian animal welfare organizations. This merger of animal shelters and animal welfare organizations aims to give animal protection in Austria a strong voice. As pro-animal , the task is, among other things, to be a common voice towards the legislator in order to make animal protection heard. Membership is open to all reputable animal welfare initiatives, and the association is financed exclusively from membership fees, which guarantees that all officials work on a voluntary basis.

These clubs and their actions impressively demonstrate how important the commitment is for animal and humans. The club life, the initiatives for animal welfare and the support of families in difficult situations are not an end in itself, but strengthen social structure in our society. In times when it is often only about the individual, such easily accessible help and offers are for compassion, solidarity and cohesion.
