Students donate 353 euros for Tyrolean cancer - a great success!

Innsbruck, Österreich - In Innsbruck, the BRG Adolf-Pichler-Platz has shown itself as a model for social responsibility. The school students organized a fundraising campaign in which an impressive 353.13 euros were collected for the Tirol Cancer Aid by a cake sale in the Tyrol department store. Daniela Höller accompanied the campaign, while the students Gabriel Keller, Vincent Geiger and Felix Neurauter were significantly involved in the organization and implementation. The Tyrol Cancer Aid was enthusiastic about this commitment and emphasized that every euro flows directly to the support of cancer in the region. So it was once again illustrated how small gestures can have a great effect.

This initiative is part of a greater commitment of schools that are committed to cancer aid. The Tirol Cancer Aid not only offers support for those affected, but also for their relatives who have to deal with the shocking diagnosis of cancer. All the more important are projects such as the BRG Adolf-Pichler-Platz fundraising that not only provide financial help, but also contribute to the sensitization of children for the topic of cancer. Because the diagnosis not only affects the sick themselves, but also affects the entire family system. The Austrian Cancer Aid Tirol therefore provides psychological support and help to ensure that nobody stays alone in this difficult situation. On Krebshilfe-tirol.at you can learn more about the excellent work and the possibilities of support.

run against cancer - another sign of solidarity

But the actions in the fight against cancer are not limited to cake sales. The “Running against Cancer” project offers schools and participants the opportunity to actively participate and collect donations for the Tirol Cancer Aid and the stem cell donation initiative of the Austrian Red Cross. Registration for this runs through the schools, whereby the local community is also required.

The participation fee of only 3 euros per child is largely used for the good cause - specifically 2.50 euros flows into the donation fund. The events and results are evaluated and published from April 22 to May 2, 2025, which not only gives the participating students an incentive to act, but also strengthen the sense of community enormously. Details on the registration can be found on Laufenkrebs-schulchallenge.at.

In this sense, the BRG Adolf-Pichler-Platz shows with its fundraising a wonderful example of how commitment and compassion can be lived in everyday life. Every little action counts to help those who are dependent on support. Together we can help people with cancer and their families receive the help they need so urgently.
