Zugspitz-Trophy: Five years of tennis action for the youth in Biberwier!
Biberwier, Österreich - The Zugspitz Trophy celebrated a remarkable birthday this year - the fifth to be precise. As meinzirk.at took place recently in Biberwier and gathered around 70 kids and young people at the age of 5 up to 18 years. The joy of sport was in the foreground, and the young tennis talents impressively showed their skills.
The Zugspitz Trophy was well called by the sisters Karin and Theresia five years ago. Their goal was to bring the young tennis from Biberwier, Lermoos, Ehrwald and Bichlbach together. The response to the event was so great that it was now expanded to four days. From this year the event also bears the name "Raiffeisen-Zugspitz-Trophy", because Raiffeisenbank has been involved as the main sponsor.
A colorful program for the young talents
The participants were divided into different classes from U5 to U18, with the level of difficulty being adapted to the different age groups. The youngest participant, who is only four years old, was particularly remarkable! The games were played against each other and together, which also increased the fun factor. The children could not only shine in tennis, but also had to demonstrate their athletic skills in competitions such as widespread throwing, skill, speed, long jump, target throw and a surprise exercise.
The organizers, who are supported by Karin, Theresia and Sophia, emphasize how important regular training is for the progress of young athletes. Therefore, they offer continuous young training sessions, which are geared towards child -friendly development and fun in the game. Through formal structures and sensible tournament formats, the children give optimal training, which inspires them in the long term for tennis.
success and developments
The performance of Tommaso Maglia, who grew beyond 11 Maschils after a gap, was particularly impressive in the last competitions. He lost the first sentence against Christian Agrati 6: 3, but fought back and won the second set 6-2 to triumph 10: 5 in the match-tie break. The top seed Davide Galbiati showed another outstanding performance, who defeated 6-0, 6: 2 in the under 12 Matteo Civardi. Filippo Mizzi also showed his talent and won in the Under 13 category against Giorgio Ruggeri in an exciting final with 7: 5, 7: 6, such as fitp.it still reported. With such successes, the signs for the future of young tennis in the region are getting better. Supported by the basics and concepts of the tennis associations, such as the WTB Youth Minister for a continuous structure in tennis sports, the young athletes are already looking forward to the next tournaments and challenges. This orientation aims to convey the fun and joy of tennis from the start through appropriate training and game formats, such as wtb-tennis.de recommended.
