Reutte, Österreich - on today's date, June 6, 2025, the highly expected premiere of the Lowa Trail Trophy 2025 in Bad Waldsee. This event is a real highlight for trail running enthusiasts and attracted participants from all over the region. The competition extends over four challenging stages and offers breathtaking views of the Alps and pure adventure for all runners.
The route leads over picturesque landscapes in the Allgäu and has its start and destinations on the fourth day in Pfronten. With distances of 21 to 28 kilometers and height differences of up to 1,900 meters, the Lowa Trail Trophy presents both beginners and ambitious athletes with a variety of challenges. The event was organized by Martin Hafenmair, Race Director of Plan B, and was able to provide enthusiasm for both the audience and the participants.

A total of 245 participants competed this year to face the demanding conditions. The four stages not only required physical, but also mental strength, because technical skills as well as dealing with steep climbs and rapid descents were required. The reward for the effort was a unique panoramic fireworks of the Lechtal Alps, which the athletes delighted after the respective stages.
The two athletes of the Bad Waldsee running group, Silvia Gropper and Günter Leykum, demonstrated remarkable places in their age groups. Gropper achieved a total time of 18 hours, 19 minutes and 24 seconds and thus secured the 8th place of 30 women in their category and the 118th place out of a total of 245 starters. Leykum finished in 17 hours, 25 minutes and 7 seconds, which earned him 9th place of 36 participants in his age group and the 96th place.
