Rad adventure from Scotland to Tyrol: Doing good with every turn!
For all bike enthusiasts and supporters of good purposes, there will be an exciting event from the end of June that makes the region's pulse beat faster. Christian Haas, a passionate cyclist and initiator of the project "Get off the Wadl’n", is already going into the third round of his benefit bike tour. This has been taking place for five years and has set itself the goal of collecting money for social projects. "There is something!", You will not only hear from this use in the region, but also far beyond.
This year the third large solo beefiz bike tour starts on June 23 with an impressive route of around 3,000 kilometers and 21,000 meters of altitude. The route leads from Thurso in Scotland to iconic places such as Loch Ness, Liverpool, London and finally ends in Reith in the Alpbach Valley. The entire tour is documented on up to four cameras, and there will also be live tracking on Facebook, so that the supporters can always stay at the pulse of what is happening.
already collected donations
To date, Haas has been able to collect a few thousand euros for the social and health fragment of the region 31 with his previous tours- a long-distance tour from Athens to Tyrol in 2021 and another from Palermo to Tyrol in 2023. Most of the donations flow into the "Eating on wheels" project, which covers the need for over 4,000 people. Haas himself takes over the financing and implementation of the trip so that every donation benefits the good cause. Interested parties can make their contribution via the IBAN AT97 2050 8000 2215 5501 and the BIC Sprat21xxx
Such actions are not unusual in Austria. In the Würzburg district, a three -day bike tour was recently carried out over 350 kilometers to the Ahr Valley. With its tour, the group "Patschnass" collected 4,630 euros for the people affected by the flood disaster and handed over the sum to the 1st chairman of SV Altenahr. The money is primarily intended to benefit the children and young people whose sports facilities were destroyed by the floods in 2021 and shows how important local solidarity is. The deputy district administrator Christine Haupt-Kreutzer emphasized that such donations are decisive as from Haas and his colleagues.
A look beyond the national borders
Cycling for a good cause is a widespread concept that also flourishes in other regions. The “Cycling with Heart” initiative has covered over 100,000 kilometers for social projects since 2019 and thus protected over 127,000 children from paralysis. These projects show that sport not only serves health, but also offers a valuable opportunity to bring people together and provide help.
So if you want to become active this summer and do good at the same time, you have the opportunity to support Christian Haas on your adventurous journey. The planned multivision shows in autumn 2025 will surely be an impressive highlight for all supporters and interested parties who want to learn more about the trip.
only one thing is missing: swinging the bike, enjoying the landscape and keeping the pedal step with a good feeling - so a sign of hope and support becomes from every number of kilometers!
