The police report that, according to media reports, three other affected people have now registered and that a total of six copper tubs from gardens and entrances in Wörgl and Kramsach were stolen between March 30 and April 1, 2025. The perpetrators often left the containers emptied, even if they had previously been filled with earth and flowers.

The increasing cases of theft throw a shadow on safety in the region. According to a recent statistics, which was published by Statista from 2014 to 2024 Objects rose significantly. This could be an indication that interest in such valuable objects also increases in Austria. The thieves could be targeting more than just newspapers and copper tubes.

In view of these developments, the appeal to the citizens of being vigilant and reporting suspicious observations could not be more urgent. The police still have the hope of grasping the perpetrators and restoring security in the region.
