Kitzbüheler eagle extend with local talent Jonas Repo!

The Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel can be happy: The native of Kitzbüheler Jonas Repo will remain part of the team in the coming season. The defender has extended his contract for the 2025/26 season. Repo, who was born in Kitzbühel and has both the Austrian and Finnish citizenship, brings a breath of fresh air into the game of the eagles. The 21-year-old, with a size of 177 cm and a weight of 74 kg, shoots on the left and is considered a movable player.

Last season Repo was active for the eagles in 20 games of the Alps Hockey League and was able to contribute a template. His skills were also evident at HC Kufstein: here he was used in nine games and once netted. On his development on and off the ice, Repo says: "I continuously work on myself and look forward to the challenges." This can also be seen in his remarkable commitment, which is very much appreciated by the association.

"I am proud to continue to be an eagle," says Repo. The support of the fans and the development of the association in particular moved him to stay with his home club. His trainer Marco Pewal emphasizes that Repo took a big step last year and there will be more possible uses for the coming season. These positive experiences also motivate the talented defender to prove himself as a Kitzbüheler with the eagles.

In the coming year, Repo has supported his environment to celebrate success with the team. In times when the Alps Hockey League can come up with strong teams such as HC Puster Valley and EC Bregenzerwald, it is crucial to start the season well prepared. The Kitzbüheler Adler will start preparing with their first official ice training session from August 18, followed by several test games against other teams, including against Regensburg and Bad Tölz.
