Iseltrail inspires with a state victory at the Neptune State Prize for Water!

Osttirol, Österreich - The Iseltrail in East Tyrol has vigorously gathered at the Neptune State Prize for Water. With the Tyrolean national victory in the water -regional category and third place in the federal ranking, this trail is not only a hiking highlight, but also a real prime example of sustainable water management. The award was presented on May 31, 2025 by Deputy Governor Josef Geisler to the East Tyrol tourism association, which can be proud of this recognition. The Iseltrail extends over around 80 kilometers and leads from the Isel mouth in Lienz to impressive Glacier world.

On the Iseltrail, hikers experience the variety of water landscapes. From rippling streams to roaring waterfalls to clear drinking water sources - the trail offers insights into one of the last freely flowing glacier flows of the Eastern Alps. In addition, resting places near the bank invite you to linger and enable hikers to enjoy nature to the fullest.
