Trossingen triumphs: two ensembles awarded at the World Music Festival!
Innsbruck, Österreich - Innsbruck turned into a big festival of music at the end of May 2025. As part of the 14. World Music Festivals cheered around 6,000 visitors the "sound fireworks" and the creative versatility inherited to the event. Not only were music creators and lovers from the region, but also international guests from 20 different countries.
The President of the German Harmonika Association, Jochen Haußmann MdL, took an enthusiastic balance. "The festival has developed into a fixture in the international concert calendar of the accordion and harmonics scene," said Haußmann. The new “Free Style” competition category, which caused creative sensation, is particularly remembered. 390 performances were evaluated by a top -class jury from 43 international experts.
successes from the region
The regional music scene shone in the competitions. The Nuremberg accordion orchestra was named a winner with 48.8 out of 50 possible points. Two ensembles from Trossingen were able to look forward to the “excellent” predicate: the youth orchestra Hohnerklang and the Happymusix Chorchestra community Trossingen/Brigachtal in the category “Free Style-Seniors/Hobby”. In addition, the accordion association Junge Donau from Immendingen received the predicate "excellent" in the category "Adults/Middle States".
The concert evenings, including with the Hohnerklang orchestra, enjoyed great popularity and took place in the sold -out congress hall. We can be excited to see what the continuation of this tradition will look like in 2028.
a highlight for music enthusiasts
from 29. May to June 1, 2025 not only took the festival in Innsbruck, but also the first integrated day of the harmonica of the Harmonica Association in Austria. This new part of the event offered a platform for harmonica -enthusiastic people and underlined the importance of harmonica in the music landscape.
The variety of categories-from solo players to ensembles to orchestras-appeals to all age groups and ensures that the event is a colorful treat for families, music lovers and active participants. Registration for the competitions was possible until August 11, 2024 and offers an exciting view of the next appearances.
