A real sports weekend experienced Kleinzell in the Mühlkreis on June 7th and 8th! The Granit Marathon found next to the Austria Youngsters Cup and offered both the opportunity for young talents and for experienced bikers to demonstrate their skills. The event was not only an exciting spectacle, but also a complete success for the Crazy Cross Biker from Maria Lankowitz.
The youth race on Saturday attracted numerous participants. In the morning, the young drivers demonstrated their skill in the technology sprint before going to business in the Cross-Country competition in the afternoon. In the U9 class, Vera Eberhart made it to the 3rd place, while Lean Ofner won the 4th place in the same age group. In the U11 class, Matteo Godin was the best domestic driver and won the 1st place, followed by Martin Eberhart on 9th place.

But strong services could also be shown in higher age groups. In the U15 class, Thomas Hacker secured 2nd place in the technology sprint and the 3rd place in the XCO. In the U17 girls, Sandra Pink achieved the 3rd place in the technology sprint and the 2nd place in the XCO. These results impressively show the development of the youth drivers and the broad talent of their coaches.
The Granite Marathon on Sunday also provided some challenges for the participants. The route led over 49 km with 1,500 meters of altitude and offered not only a demanding challenge, but also breathtaking views of the Mühlviertel hilly landscape. The Crazy Cross Biker were also represented here, with Thomas Mörth (11th place in 2:37:17 hours) and Joachim Kolb (27th place in 2:53:54 hours).

Despite a not exactly inviting weather, the cyclists demonstrated fighting spirit. Gregor Ofner landed on the 22nd place on the Classic route with 60 km and 2,000 meters of altitude-a considerable success under the given conditions.
