Environmental awareness and education: Young people set signs for the future!

At the beginning of a new year, Austria has taken an important step. From January 1, 2025, a disposable deposit will be implemented that aims to protect the environment and reduce the amount of waste. This measure is more than just a theoretical exercise, it is already actively supported by committed students: inside the region. The pupils of the HTL Zeltweg have launched an initiative that makes it possible to donate deposit amounts for the Austrian Children's Cancer Aid. This turns deposit amounts into real help and support for needy children.

Since June 2023, the deposit amounts can be donated directly to machines of a large retail chain. This measure not only promotes environmental protection, but also the social commitment of the population, which creates a double benefit. This is a great way to convert your own little deeds into big changes.

The students: Inside the HAK Judenburg recently participated in the Mathe Cup of the University of Salzburg and performed excellently: they achieved second place among the commercial academies. In a festive framework, director Sonja Hofer and teacher Nicoletta Tescaro presented the documents to the proud students. This shows not only the strong mathematical skill of young people, but also how important the promotion of education and talents in the region is.

Another remarkable success becomes visible at the federal finals of the Schoolgames. Around 300 pupils from all over Austria meet in the Austria Center Vienna and show her skills. The Borg Murau team is particularly outstanding, which was able to take second place in the business category with a group from the 6th and 7th grade of the scientific branch. This competition not only promotes economic knowledge, but also team spirit and entrepreneurial thinking.

Health is not only important for adults, but also for the youngest in our society. In cooperation with GEDS Jungle, the Austrian children's cancer aid offers an exciting leisure program called "Playing in motion". This program is aimed at patient: inside in the aftercare from Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland, as well as their siblings between the ages of 7 and 14. It starts on March 8, 2025 and ends on June 21, 2025, every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - with the exception of the Easter holidays on April 12 and April 19, 2025.

The program aims to reduce stress through exercise and playful learning and to promote children's health. Trained trainers: Inside, the children accompany in small groups through various stations that deal with topics such as concentration, skill and healthy eating. The end of the day is the preparation of healthy snacks and a common indoor picnic. Registration takes place using a simple form, but don't worry: there is a way for everyone to take part.

These diverse activities and initiatives in Austria show the great commitment to the environment, education and health, and offer both support and support for a wide variety of areas of life.
