Anniversary in Katsch-Frojach: 105 years of brass music and community celebrated!

Murau, Österreich - Last weekend a very special anniversary was celebrated in Katsch-Frojach: The Musikverein Katsch-Frojach celebrates its 105th anniversary. The venerable existence was celebrated with an extensive event program. Among the many highlights, the march music rating and the entertainment program on Saturday stood out, followed by a festive service and an act of honor on Sunday.

The roots of the music association go back to 1918 when the founding father Albin Metnitzer laid the foundation stone in Katsch. Just a year later, in 1919, another music club was also launched in Althofen. This impressively shows the long tradition and the commitment of brass music in the region.

A central point of the anniversary celebrations was the festival service in the marquee in the Sumi - Arena, which was led by Auxiliary Bishop Johannes Freitag.
