Excitement at the Erzberg Cup: shooters fight for the golden blade!
Eisenerz, Österreich - At the weekend, the Eisenerzer Tull turned into a scene of sporting high performance and social encounters: The Erzberg Cup of the Eisenerz shooting club took place in wonderful sunshine and attracted over 70 participants. Not only local shooters, but also guests from adjacent federal states were on site and ensured a lively atmosphere. According to MeinDienst the event was a complete success.
In the sporty Kettkamp, Christian Hirz prevailed in class 1 class with 590 rings and secured first place. It was an exciting race for men, where only four rings separated the places two to seven. Oberschützenmeister Albin Zwanz was enthusiastic after the competition and emphasized the comradely exchange as an important aspect of the event.
prices and awards
The winners not only made sporting success, but could also count on solid prices: in addition to a miniature Erzberg made of wood, there were culinary delicacies, and the main prize was a elaborately designed miniature sab. The award ceremony took place in the hall of the shooting club and offered the ideal stage for awarding the top performers. In this context, the Kapfenberg shooting club also spoke up and congratulated the winners, including Gerhard Farmer, who won the gold medal in his category, such as Kapfenberger Schützenverein documented.
The fist firing weapon-large caliber (FFWGK) discipline, which is shot with pistols and revolvers, was also part of the program. The shooters used sports weapons from caliber 9mm Luger or .38 Special and completed a total of 60 shots at 25 meters. These requirements demanded both precision and concentration from the participants.
an annual highlight
The Erzberg Cup is an integral part of the annual rifle calendar and always takes place in May on the historical shooting range in the Tull. Not only shooters meet here, but also friends of shooting sports to exchange ideas and celebrate their passion together. Albin Zwanz subsequently underlined the importance of the event for the community.
With first-class performance and a comradely environment, the Erzberg Cup once again proved that it is a highlight in Austrian shooting sports and the anticipation for the next edition is already being very important.
