Young fire brigade talents inspire at the performance competition in St. Peter!

in St. Peter-Freienstein met around 639 young firefighters from the Leoben, Knittelfeld, Judenburg and Murau districts on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Organized by the St. Peter-Freienstein volunteer fire brigade under the direction of HBI Hannes Antonitsch and Obi Wolfgang Rühl as well as the area fire brigade association Leoben, the event was a real crowd puller with around 1,000 visitors on the sports field.

The young talents competed against each other in 45 youth competition groups in the fire -fighting attack and relay race and showed their skills in an extensive competition game with 117 teams of two. Like meinzirk.at , the FF Ranten celebrated the daily victory in the performance competition in bronze with an impressive time of 59.53 seconds and without errors. FF Götzendorf also prevailed in the bronze competition game and shone with a flawless time of 26.16 seconds.

The event ended in a solemn award ceremony, which was visited by guests of honor such as Marco Triller and the third state president Helga Ahrer. The celebration was musically framed by the music clubs from St. Peter-Freienstein and Vordernberg under the direction of Lisa Reichenpader. The recognition of their achievements by the guests of honor and top representatives of the area association was particularly encouraging for the young participants.
