Graz, Österreich - at the Leibnitz grammar school prevails after the terrible killing spree in Graz, which took place on Tuesday morning on Borg Dreierschützengasse. Director Josef Wieser reports that many students had connections to this school. Despite the emotional situation, the oral exams were carried out as planned, with a minute of fun for the victims during these exams. Teachers stood up to the students, addressed the topic sensitively and offered their support.

The "Day of Technology" was canceled in the Silberberg education center, but the students were still well supported.

In the first school days, the focus is on trauma and crisis coping. School psychologists and other crisis intervention specialists will be on site to offer individual advice and support offers.

An information center for relatives was set up in the ASKÖ hall, while a meeting room in Helmut List Halle is available so that those affected can process the events together. There is also a telephone hotline of the Styria Education Directorate, which can be reached on 0664 80 345 55 665. This support is supplemented by school psychologists from other federal states.

The ISB Bayern offers a handout for crisis intervention at schools to support school management in implementing crisis teams. These materials focus on prevention, acute cases and aftercare.

The mood among the students is affected, but they are not anxious. The schools in Leibnitz are working hard to give their students time and space to process the experiences and find the necessary hold.
