Fire brigade Spielfeld celebrates strong district victory at Maibaum-Challenge

On June 19, 2025, the volunteer fire brigade playing field may look forward to a great success: As part of the Maibaum Challenge Meinverge, the fire brigade won the district victory and thus secured second place at the state level. In an exciting competition, a total of 13 fire brigades competed against each other, including the opponents from Wild Alps, who could finally snap first place. It was a head-to-head race that had the attentive voters excited until the last minute. The FF playing field mobilized 5,084 votes, which shows how strong the backing in the community is, but Wildalpen was more ahead with about 100 votes. The final ceremony took place during the weekly camaraderie meeting, in which the members happily promised their success in drinks and grill specialties. An important part of the success was the artistic design of the maypole, which was done by the experienced carved Werner Schintler, Markus Rode and Martin Tretnjak. Schintler Himlfe invested proud 60 hours in the creation of the masterpiece, which is not only for the challenge, but also for the customs in field. The tradition of the maypole position connects not only the fire brigade members, but the entire community, which was clear due to the high participation in the vote. Not only the maypole challenge was a success for the FF field, the fire brigade festival on August 3. in Spielfeld also promises to be a real highlight.
